Chris’s abstract expressionist style is driven by an obsession with colour. The ethereal painting practice he is drawn to creates beautiful, bold and playful compositions. He believes his art is about the act of painting. Letting each one teach him more than the last.

Ultimately, Chris tries to create work that allows the viewer to forget everything around them. Just like painting them does for him.

His paintings are a result of hours of editing. Adding and taking away colour until he feels it belongs on the canvas.

These initial actions happen quickly with washes of colour providing the base coat to the canvas.

When the painting starts to reveal itself, Chris begins to add final touches of colour to tie the painting together.

Chris lives and produces his work in London and has sold work to collectors all over the world.
